The 10th Annual David Giles Charity Golf Day
We are thrilled to host the 2020 David Giles Charity Golf Day, now in its tenth year, once again at the splendid Badgemore Park Golf Club, Henley On Thames.
For those golfers who have enjoyed this sporting and social highlight of the business travel industry calendar in the past, you’ll know what an enjoyable event this is. For anyone new to the Giles Classic, then you’re in for a treat!
The purpose of the day is for you and your fellow team members to have a relaxing, fun but competitive day of golf, while raising worthy funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Presented, for the first time, by Gray Dawes Group, we sincerely hope you’ll be able to join us.
Event Information
The day begins at 7:30am with Team Registration in the Club House, accompanied by tea, coffee and bacon rolls. Following a 9am Briefing, tee off is at 9:30am. Refreshments will be available at the half-way hut (between the 1st and 10th Tees).
At 3pm, lunch is served in the Coach House, followed by a charity raffle and team prizes. By popular demand, shepherd’s pie with minted peas and carrots is back on the menu, followed by sticky toffee pudding, coffee and tea.
Format
The David Giles Classic features a shotgun start at 9:30am followed by lunch, prize giving and raffle, with an early departure around 3:30pm.
Teams
Golf Teams are made up of 4 players. As this is a friendly competition and in the spirit of charity Mulligan’s can be purchased on the day.
Scoring
Best nett 2 Stableford scores per hole. Team Captain to mark card. Yellow tees. Max handicap 24 men 28 women. Nearest to pin on 13th hole.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for First Place (best team), runners up team, third place team and the nearest pin challenge on the 13th Hole.
Dress Code
Dress code is casual attire.
Golf shoes are not allowed in the Coach House.

This year we’re raising funds for the Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
